Hailing from Chicago, the rapper, actor, author and philanthropist is bringing light back to conscious Hip Hop. Serving as the go to rapper for G.O.O.D. Music, since day one, music mogul Kanye West inked a deal with Common on his G.O.O.D. Music label. Common proved his flow decades later is undeniable on the gold selling G.O.O.D. Music compilation album “Cruel Summer.”  Acting is nothing new for Common; his AMC Western “Hell on Wheels” had a successful second season and is in preparation for a third.  In the newly released film “LUV” Common displays diverse artistry as a flawed hero.  Common’s various creative gifts share one common characteristic his innate ability to make consumers focus on situations that are ordinarily overlooked.
