The New York-based contemporary brand, Blancore, went from independently retailing worldwide, to the runway of New York Fashion Week (NYFW).

The founder of the fashion brand stated, “Blancore‘s inspiration for SS20 is water — in all its lifeforms.” The fluidity between the textures of the designer’s garments translated quite literally in the opening walk of the show, September 5th at Spring Studios. Unlike traditional NYFW debuts, Blancore opted for a theatrical introduction.

Three performers in white bodysuits appeared through a hazy spotlight, as production created a rippling blue pool of lights in the center of the runway. With the cue of a haunting ethereal melody, the openers began circling one another as the room wholly darkened.
