Over six years after assaulting Rihanna in a car the day before the 2009 Grammy Awards, Chris Brown has been taken off of probation by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge.

“I couldn’t be more delighted,” said Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos. “He is in a spot right now and a place right now that I couldn’t be prouder of him,” he continued, stating Friday’s hearing was “a monumental feat for him.”

Ever since that night,  Brown has has more than his fair share of legal woes, so this decision comes with some celebration for the R&B singer. He took in on some of he celebration on his own twitter feed.
